Tuesday morning, Kalamazoo Public Safety said a woman had just walked into a home on the 900th block South Rose Street.
When she walked up to the second floor apartment, a 5 year old ran to greet her.
He jumped on her, and she caught him. However, police say the woman lost her balance and fell backward out of the window.
It was about a 15 feet fall to the ground. She landed on her back.
FOX 17 learned that the pair was taken to the hospital. The child was taken as a precaution and is just fine.
The 50 year old woman is still at Borgess Hospital. She has a laceration to her head, abrasions to her arms, and pain in her back.
