GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Anyone interested in applying for the Grand Rapids comptroller position has another week to do so.
Mayor George Heartwell and city commissioners decided to reopen the application window.
Three people were in the running. Due to various considerations, including a candidate withdrawing himself from the current applicant pool, the city wants to allow other people to apply.
City commissioners agree that they’re ideally looking for a CPA (certified public accountant) for the position.
The deadline to apply is Monday, March 25, by 5 pm.
