3 Arrested for Growing Marijuana Inside Pole Barn

VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. –Three men were arrested on Wednesday for growing marijuana inside of a pole barn in Van Buren County.

Police received a tip sending them to a barn located in the 76000 block of 48th Avenue, according to a news release from the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department.

After speaking with one of the suspects, officials were able to obtain a search warrant.

Documents show that once inside the barn, detectives discovered it was being remodeled. Several rooms were in the process of being built. Two of which contained marijuana grow operations.

A total of 27 plants were seized, along with $800 and a 2004 Mercedes Benz van.

Two of the men arrested are from South Haven. The other suspect is from Coloma, Mich.
