Michigan State Police Trooper Shot in Detroit

DETROIT, Mich. — News stations on the state’s east side are reporting that a Michigan State Police Trooper has been shot in the leg during a manhunt in Detroit.

According to reports, it happened around 4:30 a.m. on Monday. MSP was assisting Detroit Police who were searching the area for a group of men who have been impersonating police officers and committing armed robberies.

Police were tracking two suspects when shots broke out.

The trooper does not have life threatening injuries and two suspects are reported to be in custody.
