GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A woman was rescued from a fire on the city’s Northeast side but was hospitalized with what police described as serious burns.
Firefighters Tuesday night needed to force entry into a duplex at 542 Livingston Avenue NE. There they found a 69-year-old woman in a bedroom and got her out.
The woman was taken to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital, where an official statement on her condition had not been made by Wednesday morning.
Cause of the fire is being investigated.
