LAS VEGAS, Nev. — President Barack Obama is expected to explain his plan for immigration reform at a Tuesday event in Las Vegas.
He is expected to push for improved border security, crack down on employers who hire undocumented workers and create an earned pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants.
It comes one day after a bipartisan group of eight senators reached their own immigration framework. That agreement would create a pathway to citizenship for 11 million people who are illegally living in the U.S.
The president has called immigration reform one of his top priorities for his second term.
