GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder stopped by Grand Rapids to visit the public schools on Friday.

His visit was to talk about Pathways To Potential, a program the governor highlighted in his State of the State Address.

The initiative will bring social workers into schools to help kids and their families with education, jobs, food and daycare.

Snyder said the program has been a success in Grand Rapids Public Schools. He said it’s something that his administration is bringing to schools in four other cities.
