HOWARD CITY, Mich. — A woman killed in a crash on Monday has been identified.

The head-on crash at 10:29 p.m. Monday involved two vehicles, one travelling south on Federal Highway. That vehicle, driven by a 64-year-old man from Sand Lake, crossed the center line and hit a minivan driven by Patricia Dingman, 55, of Howard City.

No one else was involved. It is believed neither driver was wearing seatbelts, but alcohol was not believed involved.

The man’s identity was not released. He was taken to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids with serious head and rib injuries.

Dingman died at the scene.
