PORTAGE, Mich. – The Harlem Globetrotters gave a free performance Monday afternoon, not on the court but on ice.
The basketball stars performed on The Ice Rink at Millennium Park in Portage.
The basketball players strapped on ice cleats and hockey helmets to play. Today is also the anniversary date of when the team first played a road game on January 7, 1927.
The Globetrotters will perform in Wings Stadium in Kalamazoo on Tuesday, January 6, at 7:00 p.m.
Other local dates they will perform is January 26 at 7 p.m. in East Lansing at the Breslin Center, and January 27 at 2 p.m. at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids.
