VANDALIA, Mich. — A man who stumbled upon a home invasion was tied up while the burglars finished up.
The incident took place New Year’s Eve around 9:40 p.m. in a home in the 60000 block of White Temple Road in Penn Township north of Vandalia, said the Cass County Sheriff’s Department.
The man interrupted the pair who were apparently in the process of stealing from the home. One of the suspects pointed a gun on the man and tied him up. The suspects got away with a number of items.
The suspects were described by the victim as two black males in their late teens or early 20s. There may have been three people involved in the crime, the department said.
