GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.– The last day to check in your deer with the Department of Natural Resources is Friday.

The DNR is asking hunters to check in their deer at check stations for planning purposes. They also use the intact jaws, teeth and antlers for aging the animals.

Hunters are not required to check in their deer but if they do; they’ll receive a 2012 deer management cooperator patch.

You can find a full list of deer check stations and hoursto get that deer in before the week is up.
