Chicago Simeon Senior Jabari Parker verbally committed to Thursday Duke University. Parker is considered one of the top 2 basketball recruits in the country and some have even labaled him one of the best to come out of high school since Lebron James.
The 6’8″, 220 lbs Parker had said prior to his commitment that he had narrowed his choices down to five schools, Duke, Michigan State, Florida, Stanford and BYU. Last week, his father had said that it was down to Michigan State and Duke. Parker is morman and could possibly take a mission trip prior to entering the NBA.
Duke is currently the number 1 team in the nation and the addition of Parker makes them a heavy favorite in 2013-2014.
