KALAMAZOO, Mich – The former middle school assistant principal and athletic director for Parchment High School that was found guilty of drunk driving was sentenced Monday afternoon in Kalamazoo county court.

Thompson was charged with drunk driving, having an open container and fleeing police. He was found guilty by a jury in October for everything but fleeing police. Thompson eventually plead to that charge.

The judge sentence Thompson to 45 days in jail and 18 months or probation for the three charges.

Back in April, John Thompson led police on a high-speed chase that reached speeds of 120 mph with a blood alcohol level well over the legal limit.
