Decriminalized Marijuana Possession A Reality In Grand Rapids

A hot button issue on the ballot Tuesday, decriminalizing marijuana possession in Grand Rapids. Voters passed the issue easily, with 60% support. It means that when the election results are confirmed, possession will be a  civil infraction, like a parking ticket.

$25 for the first offense, rising to a max of $100.

Some leaders were worried about the unintended consequences of the decision.
