WEST MICHIGAN — After a chilly open to today we go even colder for tomorrow morning! A Frost Advisory is in effect from 2 A.M. to 9 A.M. Saturday.

Common overnight lows are likely to be in the mid to upper 30s for the bulk of the viewing area. Localized temperatures around 30 to the lower 30s appear to be likely for northernmost sections of the viewing area where a Freeze Warning is in effect for Newaygo and Mecosta Counties. It may be a good idea to cover sensitive vegetation for tonight! These are forecast temperatures for 4:30 A.M. according to Future Track:

And here are our forecast low temperatures for the three major West Michigan climate sites of Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, and Muskegon:

As you can see in the above image, Grand Rapids could drop to record cold territory on Saturday morning. It doesn't look like Kalamazoo will beat their record set back in 1916, but Muskegon has an outside chance of tying a record low as well if they get colder than we have forecast.

It does look significantly warmer next week. Stay tuned to FOX 17 for updates!
