WEST MICHIGAN — The forecast from FOX 17 Meteorologist Haleigh Vaughn: Lake effect snow has developed over West Michigan tonight due to dropping temperatures and steady winds. Temperatures are likely to drop into the teens overnight. Factoring in wind chill, feels-like temperatures could drop to single digits early Friday morning. On-and-off lake effect snow showers will be possible through the day on Friday, along with high temperatures in the upper 20s. Between tonight and all day Friday, snow accumulation will only range between 1" to 2". Widespread snow showers are likely to develop overnight Friday and early Saturday, which could produce another 1" to 2" of snow. Isolated higher amounts up to 3" are possible. A mix of sun and clouds are on tap for Sunday. Keep your rain gear handy for Monday!
