The forecast from FOX 17 Weather Ready Meteorologist Kara James: The pattern change is underway! After almost 2 weeks of below average temperatures, warmer weather has returned and is looking to stay in West Michigan for the next week plus. Morning temperatures will be on the rise, along with afternoons in the 80s likely Thursday and Friday. This comes as a big ridge of high pressure nudges out of the 4 Corners region into the Midwest, flipping our pattern to dry, sunny and warm. Rain chances are near zero this week, although a dying cold front Wednesday may spark a stray shower or two. The next chance for areawide rain is this weekend as an upper low drops in from Canada. Timing and location of the rain is still being ironed out, so stay tuned to the FOX 17 Weather Ready Team for your latest forecast updates.

TONIGHT: Increasing clouds, and warmer. Lows in the low 50s. Light southeast wind.

FRIDAY: Mostly Sunny. Pleasant. Highs in the low 80s.

SUNDAY: Partly cloudy with isolated showers possible. Highs around 80.

MONDAY: Partly cloudy, with highs in the middle to upper 70s.
