GRAND RAPIDS — The forecast from FOX 17 Meteorologist Erik Kostrzewa: The hot & super humid airmass has arrived and will make things very uncomfortable into Sunday. While the heat is here, showers and thunderstorms will be possible through Sunday afternoon. The best chance will be from 5 A.M. to noon on Sunday and a few could be strong to severe. Damaging wind gusts will be the main threat along with heavy rain and lightning. It will be very windy tomorrow too meaning waves will be large on Lake Michigan. It is strongly advised that you remain out of the water and off the piers on Sunday. Conditions quiet down and the humidity leaves us on Monday.
