WEST MICHIGAN — The forecast from FOX 17 Meteorologist Anthony Domol: A lingering shower is possible on Christmas Day morning, but most of your Christmas Day will be dry with cloudy skies in the morning followed by sunshine returning in the afternoon. Our next system arrives overnight Sunday into Monday morning with a light wintry mix transitioning to light rain or drizzle. The pattern remains mild into the middle of next week but colder air is showing up on the maps toward the New Year. Have a safe holiday, and a wonderful weekend!

CHRISTMAS DAY: Mostly cloudy. A slight chance of rain through mid-morning. Some sunshine emerges during the afternoon. Highs in the low to mid 40s. North winds at 5 to 15 mph, with wind gusts up to 25 mph.

SUNDAY: Mostly cloudy. A wintry mix develops late in the evening. Highs in the upper 30s.

MONDAY: Mostly cloudy with an early morning wintry mix/rain chance. Afternoon sun emerges. Highs in the low 40s.
