ALLENDALE TWP., Mich. — Former Unity Christian Star athlete Tyler John VanKoevering, known by most as "T.J.", passed away Saturdayfollowing a snowmobile accident in Allendale Township, per the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office.
He was 19 years old.

VanKoevering helped lead Unity Christian to a Division 2 state championshipin basketball in 2019, as well as a Division 5 state championship in football in 2018.
The former Crusader earned an All-State honor for football in 2018, and was named First-Team All-State for basketball in 2019.
