ALLENDALE TWP., Mich. — One man has died after sustaining serious injuries in a snowmobile crash late Friday night.
According to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office, 19-year-old Tyler John "TJ" Vankoevering was driving a snowmobile on Pierce Street near 64th Avenue just before midnight when he struck a power pole.
Deputies say the impact of the crash broke the power pole, causing power lines to fall into the roadway.
We're told Vankoevering was taken to Spectrum Butterworth before he succumbed to his injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
