CONSTANTINE, Mich. — Constantine head varsity football coach Shawn Griffith has been named the Detroit Lions coach of the week.
Griffith lead the Falcons to a 43-28 win over United last week to clinch at least a share of the Southwestern Athletic Conference Lakeshore Division title.
Constantine (4-1) can win the title outright if it can beat Coloma (4-1) this Friday night at Sweetland Stadium.
The Falcons have won four consecutive games after a season opening loss to Schoolcraft.
Griffith is in his 16th season as the head coach of the Falcons. In that time he has led the program to a 131-48 (.732) record, 14 playoffs appearances (this season will make 15), 8 district championships, 6 conference championships, 4 regional championships and two state finals appearances.
