MUSKEGON, MICH. — People around the country are coming up with creative ways to make their neighbors smile.

Although many of us have been staying inside the past few days, it is okay to still get some fresh air and engage in outdoor activities like walking, hiking, running and biking as long as you keep social distancing in mind.

Now, families in Muskegon have found a way to put a smile on their neighbors face while keeping their distance with a community rainbow hunt.

Colorful rainbows are starting to pop up in windows of local businesses and homes throughout Muskegon.

Rachel Fawcett started it after she saw a friend on Facebook post a photo doing this in their Oklahoma neighborhood.

“Since we can still go out and walk and hike and bike ride even if we can’t be social we can still see that symbol of hope around our neighborhood and it’s something fun for families to do together and hunt for together,” says Rachel Fawcett.

Fawcett would love for everyone to join in, all you have to do is make a rainbow with your family, place it in your window and get outside while keeping your distance.
