One injured in Battle Creek shooting

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Early Sunday evening, the Battle Creek Police Department were sent to the scene of a shooting in the 100 block of West Rittenhouse in Battle Creek, where one man was found injured.

Officers were able to locate a 34-year-old man with a gunshot wound upon their arrival to the scene. The man was transported via LifeCare to Battle Creek Bronson, where he was treated and eventually released.

Three male suspects have been identified as being involved in the shooting. Shortly after the shooting, one of those suspects was apprehended by the Emergency Response Team near the first block of Academy Street.

The general public is not believed to be in danger as police are actively searching for the other two suspects and requests that anyone who many have infomation on the shooting to call Silent Observer at 269-964-3888
