The Sumpter Township Police Department is currently investigating a quadruple homicide that took place in the township Saturday afternoon.
The scene is at the 24000 block of Martinsville.
According to police on scene, the victims range in age from 30-40. Before today, the township had no homicides this year.
Neighbors in the area say they heard the shots being fired, and it "sounded like a shootout."
There is no evidence of an ongoing danger to the community, police say.
