LINCOLN PARK (WXYZ) — "I'm just glad he's alive," said Haley Zebri as she sat next to her fiancé, Michael Suave, who is recovering from an assault Monday night.

It happened shortly after 10 p.m. as Suave was delivering an order to a house on White Avenue near Pingree in Lincoln Park.

As Suave stood on the porch, waiting for someone to come to the door, a man yelled out to him saying he was at the wrong house.

That man and three others then launched their attack on Suave in the middle of the street.

"The whole thing was a set up," Suave said. "I was completely set up and blindsided."

Shortly after Suave was robbed and carjacked, Lincoln Park Police spotted his stolen vehicle and chased the suspects. During that pursuit, speeds reached 100 mph and it was terminated for safety reasons.

Suave's car was found abandoned in Dearborn Heights early Tuesday morning. Suave said, as he was talking to police about his case, he learned that the same group of young men used some sort of stun gun to carry out a robbery in Inkster earlier Monday night.

Suave is now recovering from the attack that left him with a gash in his head that doctors had to use 18 staples to close. Suave described the attack that ended with him being carjacked.

"As soon as I got down in the middle of the street, that's when they surrounded me, the four guys, one of them pulled out a shotgun and they immediately just started beating me," he said. "They started tasing me as well so I didn't have a chance to fight back."

After robbing Suave, the men stole his 2010 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor that he'd just purchased a few days ago.

Anyone with information on this case is urged to contact Lincoln Park Police at 313-381-1800.
