WASHINGTON — Nestle is recalling more than 700,000 pounds of not-ready-to-eat pepperoni Hot Pockets for possible contamination.
The Hot Pockets in question may contain shards of glass or hard plastic, according to the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.
We’re told the affected products, described as 54 oz packages containing twelve pepperoni Hot Pockets "made with pork, chicken and beef with garlic buttery crust," were made between Nov. 13 and Nov. 16. Click here to view the product label.
The date and lot codes of the recalled hot pockets are 0318544624, 0319544614, 0320544614 and 0321544614, and the establishment number is “EST. 7721A,” according to MDARD.
We're told a minor injury was reported in connection to the product's consumption.
