Renowned anchor Tom Brokaw has announced Friday that he is retiring, according to NBC News.
NBC says Brokaw has been with the network for 55 years, winning a plethora of awards for his achievements in journalism.
The network also says Brokaw is the only anchor to have reported via all of its main shows, which consist of “Meet the Press,” “TODAY” and “Nightly News.”
