GOP Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel is being tested for coronavirus in Michigan after showing symptoms.

According to a statement from RNC Communications Director Michael Ahrens, McDaniel began experiencing a fever and flu-like symptoms and went to her local hospital in Michigan for treatment.

Flu and strep tests were administered and came back negative; her doctor determined a COVID-19 test was necessary.

McDaniel and her family are self-quarantining in their homes.

An update will be provided when test results are available.
