Virtual events to honor MLK Jr. across West Michigan

Today, marks the 38th observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day and there are some events planned across West Michigan to honor his life.

WMU-Cooley Law School’s Grand Rapids campus’ Black Law Students Association is hosting a virtual panel on Monday starting at noon with local professors.

GRCC will also be hosting a virtual event, with award-winning journalist and White House correspondent for PBS, Yamiche Alcindor.

The Urban League of West Michigan is hosting its 21st annual MLK corporate breakfast, online.

WMU is hosting a virtual MLK convocation starting at 11 am.

Calvin University is hosting a virtual lecture starting at 12:30 p.m.

Ferris State University is also hosting a virtual address from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Along the lakeshore, Holland Museum is providing an MLK Day activity kit for community members, among other activities.
