Online activities that showcase the beauty of Michigan

Looking for more ways to entertain yourself and the kids while stuck at home? The West Michigan Tourist Association is providing more ways to explore the state of Michigan virtually with brand new games that are educational and fun.

Battle GR Tactical Games

Live Trivia NightsBattle GR is bringing some fun entertainment to your living room: Each week on Friday, they’re hosting a live virtual trivia night on the BattleGR Tactical Games Facebook page. They will be giving away prizes and it’s totally free to join in. This week their trivia theme will be Marvel Movies, with Harry Potter trivia on April 23rd.

Mason County Historical Society

You can take part in recording what it’s like to live during a pandemic. The Mason County Historical Society has started a “Dear Diary Challenge,” inviting you to write in your diary every day about life during the COVID-19 pandemic. You can choose a written or video diary, and include things like photos and art as well. Once the historical society opens back up, they’ll be collecting the diaries, and drawing for prizes in three different age categories, as well as awarding a college scholarship.

Manistee County Tour

Manistee County from home by exploring their Historic Sites Video Series. Their videos in this series showcase more than 100 historic sites through eight themed tours. They are showcased through HD video, featuring historic photos and videos, all beautifully narrated by Manistee native, Toni Trucks.

Free Online Jigsaw Puzzles

If you’ve become a puzzle pro recently, check out the library of free online jigsaw puzzles on the West Michigan Tourist Association’s website. You’ll find lots of puzzles featuring beautiful West Michigan views. You can choose the number of pieces in your puzzle to make it easier or more challenging. We’re adding puzzles weekly, so check back for new scenes to build!
