Law enforcement officials across the state will be stepping up patrols, looking for drivers under the influence.

Authorities say they'll be taking a zero-tolerance approach when it comes to anyone who's found to be driving while impaired.

The concentrated effort will run from now through labor day weekend.

Last year, ten people died on Michigan roads during the labor day holiday, three of those involving alcohol.
