WYOMING, Mich. — Police responded to reports of a shooting on Arnold Avenue late Tuesday night.

Once there, officers discovered a 33-year-old man with a sustained gunshot wound, according to the City of Wyoming.

We’re told he was taken to a nearby hospital but is not likely to survive.

Authorities say a person of interest was brought into custody earlier this morning, described as a 44-year-old man from Grandville.

After further investigation is made, the case will be brought to the Kent County Prosecutor’s Office.
