PORTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Two people have died as a result of a house fire in Cass County.
Around 5 p.m. on Saturday, deputies were called to help the Porter Fire Department with containing a house fire on Tharp Lake Road in Porter Township.
Upon investigation, authorities found that 69-year-old Patricia Cloud and 37-year-old Brandon Cloud could not escape from the fire and succumbed to their injuries.
Eight organizations assisted in the incident, which is still under active investigation.
