ALLEGAN COUNTY — Fire officials say a home caught fire and was heavily damaged Thursday evening.
It happened around 8:35 p.m. at 49670 2nd Avenue in Grand Junction.
The basement was on fire when fire crews arrived and the homeowner said the home had lost power and had went to the basement to check it out.
Several fire crews were brought in to help put the fire out.
Everyone inside the home made it out safely and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
