PENN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A man has been arrested after robbing the Dollar General on State St. in Vandalia.

Deputies were called to the store at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

The male suspect led one the store's employees to believe that he had a weapon while asking for money, according to the Cass County Sheriff's Office.

After the employee gave him an undisclosed amount of money, he left the store and entered an occupied car outside.

When the driver refused to give him a ride, he left on foot.

K-9 Faust was sent out, and found the still unnamed 32-year-old suspect on Mulberry St.

He's being charged with armed robbery, but it is unclear if they found a weapon on him.

Anyone with further information about the robbery is asked to call the Cass County Sheriff's Office.
