PORTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. — One woman was left with minor injuries after a crash Saturday morning in Porter Township.

Around 9:45 a.m., deputies from the Cass County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a personal injury accident on Union Rd. at the intersection of Mason St., in Porter Township.

Upon arrival, it was determined that 39-year-old Mary McLeroy of Constantine, Michigan was westbound on Mason St.

McLeroy stopped at the intersection of Union Rd. and then pulled into the intersection, failing to yield the right of way to a northbound vehicle driven by 66-year-old Brock Vagis of Vandalia, Michigan.

McLeroy's vehicle was struck on the driver's side. McLeroy was transported by Porter Township Ambulance to Elkhart General Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Seatbelts were worn by both drivers and alcohol and or drugs do not appear to have been a factor in the crash.

Assisting at the scene was Porter Township Fire Department.
