KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Nominations for the Social Justice Youth Awards are being accepted now until January 3rd, 2020.
The City of Kalamazoo and several area sponsors are looking to honor Kalamazoo students for their work with the community. Seven awards will be presented on January 21st during the City commission meeting following the Martin Luther King Jr. Community-wide Day of Service including the Dr. Lewis Walker Award.
Eligible students must be from the Kalamazoo area, ages 12-19, and can be nominated by adults who work closely with young people like a teacher or coach.
