DETROIT, Mich. — The Detroit Tigers have just announced their 2020 30-man roster for Opening Day.
The Tigers are scheduled to open their 2020 season at 6:10 p.m. Friday in Cincinnati against the Reds. The game will be televised on both FOX Sports Detroit and the MLB Network. It also will be broadcast on the Tigers Radio Network.
Baseball's first games are actually being contested tonight, with the New York Yankees at Washington Nationals at 7:08 p.m. and the San Francisco Giants at Los Angeles Dodgers at 10:08 p.m.
The regular season will end Sept. 27 for all teams. Instead of the usual 162 games, all teams will play a compacted 60-game schedule against teams in their own geographic regions of the country due to the current coronavirus pandemic.
