MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort is cancelling its $5 furniture sale to the public after an overwhelming response to the first round of it.
The casino was running a liquidation sale of old TVs, mattresses and other furniture for several days this and next week but sold out of inventory on Monday.
The sale was limited to Saginaw Chippewa Tribal members on Monday and Tuesday, and to Soaring Eagle employees on Wednesday. Soaring Eagle says there was a line of approximately 500 people within the first hour of the sale.
