BENTON HARBOR, Mich. — West Michigan’s only Senior PGA event has been canceled.
The 81st KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship, scheduled for May 19-24, 2020, at Harbor Shores in Benton Harbor, will not be held at all. Organizers decided the uncertainty caused by COVID-19 precluded trying to hold the event at a later date.
“The KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship has always brought the Benton Harbor community together,” said Jeff Noel, vice president of public affairs at Whirlpool Corp., owner of the KitchenAid brand. “We look forward to the Championship returning to Harbor Shores in 2022.”
The event is held every other year, not annually.
