MARSHALL, Mich. — The Michigan State Police have set up a webpage for reporting unemployment fraud.
MSP tells FOX 17 they have received many reports of unemployment claims filed for employees who are not seeking unemployment benefits.
We've heard from one viewer who was notified they needed to submit their identification for verification to receive their benefits. The problem? They've been retired for several years and never filed for unemployment.
Anyone who knows of unemployment fraud should report it using The Michigan State Police Fraud Submission website. Identity theft issues can be reported to www.michigan.gov/msp.
