GREEN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 13-year-old is recovering at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital after an accidental discharge Sunday night.
The teen had taken a family member’s gun without permission and accidentally shot themselves in the leg just before 11 p.m.
Mecosta County Deputies say the injuries are not life-threatening.
