DETROIT — The Michigan Department of Corrections is searching for a man who was “improperly released from custody” in Ohio.

Talleon Brazil was serving time in the Saginaw Correctional Facility until being picked up by an Ohio sheriff’s office to go to court on drug charges. Instead of keeping him in custody after the hearing, authorities in Ohio released him on bond.

MDOC said his family picked him up and may have brought him back to Michigan, specifically in the Detroit area.

Brazil is 31, about 5-foot-10 and weighs about 205 pounds.

Anyone who has information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911 or their local law enforcement.
