GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Blue Cross Blue Shield announced Thursday they are offering assistance to help in the transition from a group, employer-sponsored plan to individual plans.
The insurance company says that some members also qualify for federal subsidies to lower premiums and they are working to help small businesses with their coverage as well.
"[We] began a special support program for small businesses who may be forced by economic conditions to drop their health insurance coverage or lay off employees." Blue Cross Blue Shield released in a statement. For more information, visit their website.
