GQT Movies reopening theaters in October

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — GQT Movies will reopen its theaters in October on the heels of Gov. Whitmer’s executive order.

The company's remaining 11 theaters will open during three consecutive weekends of Oct. 9, 16 and 23 to ensure they’ll be ready to safely welcome guests, according to a news release.

The Cadillac, Michigan location has been open since Aug. 7.

“We are pleased to be in a position to make today’s announcement of the schedule for our reopenings across the state,” COO Matt McSparin said. “This has been a long time coming, and we are ready to get back to the job of serving our valued customers.”

Guest safety will be a priority, including through clean and disinfected lobbies, bathrooms, concession areas and auditoriums, McSparin said.

Prices for tickets and concessions will be 10- to 25 percent less than before.

Goodrich Quality Theater gift cards will be honored.

Oct. 9, 2020:

  • Ann Arbor, MI (Quality 16)
  • Bay City, MI (Bay City 10)
  • Holland, MI (Holland 7)
  • Battle Creek, MI (West Columbia 7)

Oct. 16, 2020:

  • Ada-Lowell, MI (Ada-Lowell 5)
  • Jackson, MI (Jackson 10)
  • Three Rivers, MI (Three Rivers 6)
  • Kalamazoo, MI (Kalamazoo 10)

Oct. 23, 2020:

  • Oxford, MI (Oxford 7)
  • Hastings, MI (Hastings 4)
  • Port Huron, MI (Krafft 8)
