MARSHALL, Mich. — Michigan State Police have arrested a man from Marshall for possession of child sexually abusive material on his computer.
An investigation following a tip from the National Center for Missing and Endangered Children showed that Phillip Smith, 36, was uploading images through an internet account, Michigan State Police said.
Smith was arrested Monday and arraigned on Tuesday.
Police encourage parents to speak with their children about safe use of the internet. Resources for doing so can be found at www.missingkids.org.
