SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. — The South Haven police department is investigating a Friday shooting that occurred near a church.
The shooting happened around 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 16., in the area of 300 Elkenburg Street.
All the suspects in the incident fled the scene before police arrived.
After investigation, it appears that no one was injured as a result of the incident.
Several shell casings were found at the scene, along with a bullet that struck a nearby church.
After 3 p.m., police found a vehicle struck by gunfire in the shooting.
The driver and passenger in that vehicle were not willing to cooperate in the investigation.
Everyone involved in the shooting is believed to be a resident of South Haven township.
