SOUTH HAVEN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Gunfire hit a house on M-140 south of South Haven overnight Tuesday morning.
South Haven Police officers responded, and while the house was occupied at the time of the shooting, no one was hurt.
SHPD Sgt. Adam DeBoer is credited with spotting a vehicle speeding away, but it didn’t get far before the sergeant stopped it, searched it, and found firearms and ammunition and spent shells in the vehicle.
The driver, a 21-year-old man from Covert, Mich., was arrested and awaits charging.
The SHPD did not say what a possible motive was in the shooting.
