POLKTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A Grand Rapids woman is in the hospital after rolling a car into the median shortly before 5:30 Tuesday evening.
According to Ottawa County Deputies, she was speeding in a Lincoln sedan on eastbound I-96. The car left the road as the freeway curved near mile marker 14, rollING almost to the westbound lanes. The woman was trapped under the car until Coopersville-Polkton Fire & Rescue could free her.
It is not believed to be wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, but police say her injuries were non life-threatening. One lane of westbound I-96 is closed while police investigate and clean up the crash.
